Outpatient Individual Psychotherapy is a collaborative, one-on-one therapeutic service designed to help individuals navigate emotional, behavioral, and life challenges in a supportive and nonjudgmental environment. Therapy provides a dedicated space to explore your thoughts, feelings, experiences, and goals while developing practical tools to improve your overall well-being.

For many people, starting therapy can feel intimidating—especially if you have never worked with a therapist before. It is completely normal to feel uncertain about what to expect. The first few sessions are focused on getting to know you, understanding your concerns, and building a comfortable therapeutic relationship. Therapy is not about being “fixed” or judged; it is about creating a space where you can feel heard, supported, and empowered.

Therapy can support individuals experiencing concerns such as:

  • Anxiety and excessive worry

  • Depression and mood changes

  • Stress and burnout

  • Trauma and difficult life experiences

  • Relationship and family concerns

  • Life transitions and adjustment challenges

  • Self-esteem and identity exploration

  • Emotional regulation and coping skills

Sessions may incorporate evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR therapy, Somatic Therapy, and person-centered techniques. Therapy is individualized, meaning your treatment will be adapted based on your goals, preferences, and experiences.

Healing and growth take time, and therapy is a process built on trust, consistency, and collaboration. Whether you are seeking support during a difficult season of life or hoping to better understand yourself and your relationships, therapy can provide a meaningful opportunity for growth, insight, and healing.

Choosing private pay for therapy allows for greater flexibility, privacy, and control over your treatment experience. Unlike insurance-based services, private pay therapy does not require a mental health diagnosis to be submitted to an insurance company, which can help protect your confidentiality and reduce limitations placed on treatment. Private pay also allows for a more individualized therapeutic approach, including flexibility in session length, frequency, and treatment modalities without insurance restrictions or requirements.
While many clients appreciate the increased privacy and autonomy that private pay offers, it is important to recognize that therapy costs are paid out-of-pocket and are not reimbursed directly through insurance unless you choose to seek possible out-of-network reimbursement independently.
If you have questions about scheduling, session length, or whether private pay therapy is the right fit for you, please feel free to reach out for more information.

Insurance

If you plan to use insurance for therapy services, it is important to understand your individual insurance benefits, including coverage limitations, deductibles, co-pays, and any authorization requirements. Clients are responsible for verifying their coverage directly with their insurance provider and are financially responsible for any co-pays, deductibles, coinsurance, or non-covered services.
